Takura joins VeloLab bringing the leadership and expertise he honed as Head Baseball Coach for the Women’s National Team of Hong Kong, China. With years of experience guiding athletes across youth, high school, and national programs, Takura has built a reputation for developing pitchers and performance training at every level. Fluent in Japanese and English and backed by advanced certifications—including NSCA-CSCS, ArmCare Specialist, and Driveline Baseball Coach—he combines technical knowledge with a passion for inspiring athletes. At VeloLab, Takura’s vision is to elevate training and foster collaboration among coaches, families, and players, ensuring the next generation of athletes thrives.

Lucian brings his AAA experience to VeloLab, guiding athletes with sharp mechanics, confidence, and the mindset needed to succeed on the mound. His coaching style is rooted in helping players build confidence, refine their skills, and stay focused on playing smart, competitive baseball. Whether it’s improving mechanics or making better decisions on the field, Lucian is always looking for ways to help athletes level up.

James joins the VeloLab Youth Performance Facility during his holidays from college in the United States. James brings with him a deep knowledge of baseball, shaped by years of playing and studying the game at a competitive level.

His return offers young athletes the chance to learn from his experience, gain fresh insights, and see firsthand how dedication to the sport continues beyond youth leagues. James’s passion for teaching and his commitment to player development make him an inspiring presence for athletes of all ages at VeloLab.


Alex Chan joins VeloLab as a private pitching trainer, bringing a wealth of experience as a left‑handed pitcher. From his early days in the Hong Kong Little League—where he played in the Minors, Majors, Major All Stars, and Senior All Stars—to training under Hall of Famer Billy Wagner at the Miller School of Albemarle in the United States, Alex has built a foundation of excellence. He went on to play NCAA Division I baseball at Davidson College and later represented Hong Kong on the National Team, showcasing his skill on the international stage. Fluent in both English and Cantonese, Alex connects naturally with players and families, offering specialized pitching instruction that blends technical precision with the insight of a seasoned competitor.
